The kind of sugar hit you need to survive the last minute dash before Chrissy Day. You’ll need:

Here’s how:

Gather the ingredients. In a punch bowl, add large pieces of ice to fill it just over halfway. Add wine, mango rum, peach schnapps, all the citrus juices, and soda water. Serve in glasses, garnished with slices of white peach and bon appétit!

Christmas Day

Get in all sorts of merry spirits by jumpstarting your festive morning with a cheeky tipple. Time to cheers to your nearest and dearest with the hallmark of AM sips: The Breaky Mimosa. Raise a glass of this fruity concoction to the special someone that gifted you a wine gift pack from us. What a legend.

You’ll need:

Here’s how:

Add strawberries and orange juice to a blender and blend until smooth. Then, pour champagne into a flute by holding the glass at a 45-degree angle. Top off with the blended orange and strawberry juice and garnish! Enjoy.

For a seafood Xmas spread

When it comes to curating fruits of the sea, a sweet, effervescent aperitif will be a fabulous match on the beverage front. A seat around your Chrissy table will be of high demand with a tyranny of fresh, delicious seafood and this blushing, citrusy spritz. It’s also REALLY easy. Trust our word.

You’ll need:

  • ¾ cup of passionfruit juice – chilled
  • ¼ cup of Aperol
  • A really generous slash of fresh lime juice
  • 1 bottle of the Jericho Rosé, plucked from our Pretty Pinks pack
  • Ruby red grapefruit wedges (for serving)
  • A bottle of soda water – to top up each glass
  • Lotsa ice – to serve

Here’s how:

Chill approx 6 tall wine goblets in the fridge. Combine the passionfruit juice, Aperol, fresh lime juice and rosé, then pour into each glass, add ice cubes and top with soda water until the glasses are full to the brim. Bruise the ruby red grapefruit wedges so they release a little flavour, drop them in and give it a big ol’ stir. Presto – you’re done!

For the tradish Christmas spread

Paying homage to the quintessential festive foodie lineup? *Drools. We honestly can’t wait. Tables swathed with delicious meats, fantastical salads and mountainous pavlovas with fresh, vibrant fruits will be best revered with what we like to call ‘Santa’s Sangria’ in very close proximity. Attempt to crack a bonbon, get your paper party hat on and let it flow, let it flow, let it flow.

You’ll need:

  • 1 bottle of The Cloak Sangiovese, from our Light Reds pack
  • 2 cups of pomegranate or cranberry juice (either do the job!)
  • ½ cup of sparkling apple cider
  • ½ cup of brandy
  • ¼ cup of honey
  • 1 pomegranate
  • 1 cup of cranberries
  • 1 green apple or green pear – finely sliced

Here’s how:

Add fresh fruit to a large pitcher. Combine all the remaining ingredients separately, then add to fresh fruit and stir to combine. Then, simply refrigerate until cold. Prepare the sangria ahead of time if possible, up to a full day before serving! Pour into tumblrs and watch your relatives sing your praise.

Boxing Day Imbibing

The best way to remedy a monolithic alcohol and food hangover? More food, sunshine, good company and a continuum of copious grapefruit and basil gin cocktails. Because let’s be honest, you probably need something relatively fresh and light after a full day of indulgence. If you’re braving the shops, consider this the most soothing of post-spree pours. Throw on some shades and nurse one of these smooth antidotes.

You’ll need:

  • A decent sprig of basil leaves
  • 1 pink grapefruit – sliced
  • 30ml of gin – per glass

Here’s how:

Fill a large balloon glass or hi-ball with ice. Pour the gin over ice. Top up with tonic. Garnish with the pink grapefruit and basil leaves. DELISH!

New Years Eve

Don something sparkly. Sling on your heels. Pop on a fun playlist. You’ve done it, 2019 is OVER and it’s time to usher the old girl out in all sorts of style. Whether you’re prepping for a riotous night in, a rollicking night on the town or a hedonistic, progressive NYE crawl, free flowing of this little cheeky cocktail during your pre drinks will ensure it’ll be a night for the ages. On your marks.

You’ll need:

Here’s how:

Gather the ingredients. In a large jug, mix the wine, blueberries, fresh lime and pink lemonade together. Allow the flavours to mix in the refrigerator for at least one hour. Pour into champagne flutes. Serve and sip!

Woah. You’re practically a mixologist now. After mastering these merry treats and dazzling your favourite people, 2020 will be a year of unofficial bartending. Or just drinking lots of wine. We’re fine with either.

Pssst! If you brew up any of these jolly sips, be sure to tag us at @sundaywineco to flaunt your handy work. *Adds to Nice List.
