The crew here sling ‘peninsula grown, grazed and gathered’ gems, with a vested interest in harvesting fruit and vegetables with heart and soul. Expect heirloom vegetables, specialty potatoes and tree ripened fruit. Still hungry? There’s a veritable gallery of homemade pickles, preserves and take-home meals for any ‘can’t be f*cked’ nights on your horizon.
Juicy, red, seductive fruits are found at Staples. No stranger to the game, these guys have been putting apples and cherries in happy hands for over 60 years. The orchard hosts a variety of apples including Gala, Golden Delicious, Fuji, Pink Lady and Granny Smith, to name a few lunchbox celebs. Adorned with lush trees and miles of green, it’s worth a stop here for a large dose of good ‘gram content and greater air, as well as something to chomp into.
There’s something almost medicinal in the sweet acidity of a fizzing apple cider, especially when it’s frisky, fresh and cracked open in good company. Hart’s Farm specialises in the g ood sip, as well as hectolitres of divine olive oils. Oh, and good news – if you need a spunky couple’s retreat for a weekend of nature and nurture, this is your one-stop haven, with accommodation onsite. Consider it a farm fantasy.
Benton Rise Farm
A charming 1910 Red Rattler train carriage might be the main attraction of Benton Rise Farm, but the hoards of jubilant, fresh produce and gourmet treats inside will inevitably steal the show. If you’re in the mood for a fix of old-world magic, a trip to this unique iteration of a farm gate is a must on the hit list.

If we told you a month ago to put down your aperol spritz, you’d probably hiss our way. Now, it’s almost rude not to opt for something more seasonally on point. Paying homage to the tutti frutti goodness that you’ve hauled from Morno, we’ve got a fire-side sip for you and your gals at the next big cosy night in.
Here’s how to make the most delectable Autumn Harvest White Sangria recipe:
- 1 Pear
- 2 Apples (opt for variety – it’s the spice of life!)
- 1/4 cup Pomegranate seeds
- 1 cup Apple cider (from Hart’s farm)
- 1 750 ml bottle of The Dagger Pinot Grigio (from our Fresh Whites Pack)
- 1 750 ml bottle of the Umberto Luigi Prosecco (from our Pop the Prosecco Pack)
- Rosemary sprig and cinnamon sticks to garnish (fabulous and fresh)
- In a large fish bowl, combine one bottle of The Dagger Pinot Grigio with the apple cider
- Core and chop those apples and pears into small chunks (don’t peel ‘em, nobody’s got time for that!)
- Stir the apples and pears in along with the pomegranate seeds and let this chill in the fridge for at least one hour, or overnight
- Pour individual glasses 2⁄3 of the way, leaving room to top with chilled Umberto Luigi Prosecco
- Garnish to you heart’s content, and serve.
